Charity Scavenger Hunt
We hosted a Charity Scavenger Hunt at the Air and Space Museum in Washington DC. Families joined together in teams to find the answers to questions about space exploration, flight and other topics. A great activity for kids of all ages.
Lab tour and Basketball Game
Recently we had the opportunity to take a tour of Dr. Lorimer's lab, see their $2,000,000 machine, and get a great understanding of the biomolecular work they are doing in laymens terms. After the tour, we were able to bring our group to the Maryland Women's Basketball game against Florida State, which we won in overtime by eight points. There were over 16,000 fans present for the game, and it made for a great afternoon!
Charity Cooking Class
Our first official fundraiser was a cooking class at L'Academie de Cuisine in Bethesda taught by one of L'Academie's talented instructors, Sandy Patterson. We thank everyone for their support - it was a great success!
